Walter Gibbs
Dr. Walter Gibbs was the founder and first CEO of Encom International. Gibbs started the company in his garage in 1970, and in 1977 received a government grant allowing for mass production of Encom's software modules. In 1979, he decided to cede the CEO position to Ed Dillinger but chose to stay with Encom as head of Research and Development.
